It’s been a while since we caught up so I thought I’d give you an update on what’s been happening with everyone around here!
Last year hubby turned the big ’50’ and we celebrated with a family holiday, a few days in Melbourne and a few days at the Mornington Peninsula cruising around in a Kombi and sleeping in a 1960’s airstream, well hubby and I slept in the airstream the girls got a gorgeous lotus bell tent which they may not have fully appreciated!! The whole trip was amazing!! Other than that hubby is working hard during the weeks, trying to finish projects around the house on weekends and training the older girls hard at soccer as their coach.
Me! Well ,mostly I’m just cruising along in the usual state of disorganization although this year I have managed to swap a few bedrooms around, paint them and start towards organizing them. I am loving building my Virtual Assistant business and have the best clients. I love the diversity of what I do and the fact that, mostly, I can fit it in around family life! In an attempt to be healthier this year I am following along with Chantelle aka Fat Mum Slim and all of the wonderful people in The Good Life Gang, a facebook group set up to make 2017 awesome, currently we are working on doing 250,000 steps each in February…I’m at 217,581…I’m going to make it!!!!
Miss 19….well she finally completed the HSC last year (she took a year longer as she did it through the Pathways program available at school). She totally overachieved with an ATAR of 93.4…amazing!! She started work straight after her exams finished last year at a local gift hamper place, it was to help them out in the busy Christmas period but they love her to pieces and have asked her to stay on so this year she is deferring from uni and working there with a few overseas trips planned…one to Japan in a few weeks and one to France mid year….jealous much!!
Miss 17….she is now in year 12 and is fully consumed with all things HSC! She is doing visual arts so has a major work to complete for which her designs are completely amazing!!! She hopes to do a degree in forensic science next year so spends most of her time completing homework and assessment tasks whilst watching entire series of NCIS and a multitude of other programs!!!
Miss 16…she has just turned 16 and is gearing up for her sweet 16th birthday party this weekend! She is in year 11 and has decided to go non-atar in her subject selections. As part of her HSC she has been accepted into Interior Design at the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney. She will do her first week block with them in the upcoming school holidays so that will be really interesting for her. She has just decided to cut her hair (and believe me this is a huge thing for her) and donate it to Hair With Heart via the Variety Children’s Charity if you would like to donate a few dollars towards her fundraising efforts you can do so here, she would be truly grateful.
Miss 12…has just started high school and is enjoying it so far. They’ll be preparing for their year 7 camp in a couple of weeks and hopefully she’ll meet a lot of new people! She is enjoying all of the different subjects and the whole high school experience, especially having a canteen!! She is still involved in Girl Guides and is looking forward to the start of the netball season.
Miss 8…and then there was one!! Just one little person in primary school! She has taken to being the one to bring the notes home like a duck to water..she has her own special folder that she has designated for filing the notes in and promptly reminds me if any need actioning by me!! She has moved up a few levels in gymnastics this year and is loving it…well except for when she fell off the beam last week :-0 Her most exciting news at the moment is that we finally let her start her own youtube channel which you can find here. It’s called Chanelle Avenue and she absolutely loves doing the videos. She would be thrilled if you popped over to take a look!
